Summer FUN in the new home!

We moved into our new place and we love it! The highlight would have to be the HUGE backyard we have! When we showed Ryan the backyard you would have though we had given him a golden monkey! He was extatic running around and jumping, then it happened...he saw, our neighbors backyard that had a bouncy house, swingset, sandbox....needless to say he became less enthused! So to try and rectify the situation we went to the BX on base and got him a sprinkler, slip n slide, and a blow up waterslide....his backyard was cool again!!!! so everymorning he would wake up and sometimes we would leave the sliding door open and ryan would just walk out jammies and all and plop himself in leftover poolwater....ahhhh to be young! So we love our new home lots more room and Ryan is a lot happier with a big yard to run in and Jeff is happier with a bigger living room to play Wii in!!!!

One fun thing that Jeff and Ryan (and me) love to do is DANCE! I regretably have to admit that my son is a way better dancer than i am but these videos of Jeff shakin his booty to the credits of Hairspray were by far the best!!!! ENJOY!

Moving is always a GAS! It totally Sucked with Jeff having to work a lot being new and all to his first duty station left most the packing on me which was okay since i like it done a certain way anyways! My visiting Teachers came and helped me do the kitchen which lets face it is most likely the hardest spot! Jeff helped Ryan pack his room and needless to say they played more than packed but thats okay cuz it was cute :) Here are some fun pics of packing!

So life has been CRAZY lately! We have moved, traveling, events, friends....yadda yadda yadda i know excuses excuses. Even though hearing about how nobody wants to read about my mom anymore or how they want to know more interesting stuff about my life i am beginning to see the light! Here is some recent stuff. My Mom

Well, as it approaches mothers day i wanted to take some time and post some things about my mom and how awesome and wonderful she is to be in the life of us kids! She is the best grandma and mother anyone could ask for. She has 4 Sons and 1 daughter takin up the end of the line of Kids. Growing up mom always Watched our games, Practices, Plays, lessons, drove us everywhere and helped us with our homework till the wee hours of the morning. She encourages us every day, she worked full time then came home and made dinner for her family and loved to be with her kids. My mom worked hard to be the mom she always wanted to be. She always would tell us the only thing she ever wanted to be was a mom. She makes us laugh, She smiles and nodds when she knew we were doing something srupid but tries despretly to let us find our way. She prays a lot for us and probly always will. Because of my mom having 5 Kids she and my dad are able to have 15 grandkids and still counting! They are wonderful grandparents! Mom likes to do little projects with the kids and do fun little grandma things. She loves to Travel to see mostly her grandkids and its good we live in so many different places so at least she can get some fun traveling in. She displays her family proudly on her desktop at work and almost every conversation has us in it. Her love for us is SO real and so apparent in her face i find us as her kids very lucky. She also inherited 4 daughter n laws and one son in law and they all love her dearly. Mom never published a book or any of her awesome poems in her life, she didnt go to college or try and conquer the buisness world as i see so many woman today sacrificing having families of thier own for. But in our eyes, our mom has had the best success anyone could have and thats 5 kids and 15 grandkids who adore her. She always lets us know how proud of us she is but today on mothers day we want her to know how proud we are of her. and thank her for the many tears she's whiped the scratches and scapes she's kissed and the fears she has calmed away by her loving touch. Happy Mothers Day Mom we love you :)

DIAPER MAN TO THE RESCUE!!!!

So, today was hysterical! Ryan was trying to put on a diaper over his jammies so being the helpful mother i am i did it for him! It was like he became a different kid he was running around like crazy jumping up and down and rolling on the floor aparently so pleased that he had a diaper over his pants! Jeff and i couldnt stop laughing. Well, like all super hero's he needed some sort of cape or hat so we did what any parents who are eager to take black male photo's would do and gave him a hat! (sorry sweety) and he loved it and of course the hat matched the super undies!....enjoy :)

Jeff has become such a wonderful handy-man and i love it! It has been something he has always wanted to do, Most projects are better than others but i love that he is learning and trying to succeed in a goal. The most recent project has been....the dresser! An awful dresser that came in like a million different parts and took practicaly 2 days to put together 3 hours each day. Well, we could have done it in one day if we hadnt started at 9 pm after Ryan went to bed. We didnt realize there would be nailing involved, but like a trooper Jeff finished it! One down and one more to go!!!!!! Ha ha ha. To be finished on Sat. But here are the pictures of the progress! Im so proud of my man! The last pic is me giving a thumbs up....kinda dark and once i figure out how to edit i will put the finished pic on!!!!

MALL FUN!

So, Cassie Bean who is now Cassie weidenbacher recently moved to Kaysville which is Approx. 10 min. away from our house...Life is so crazy to bring to people who practically grew up together move close together and Cassie and i accept it as nothing less than meant to be for some reason or another we are supposed to be good friends right now. So we decided to venture to the mall with Ryan which is always fun but somewhat of a new experience for Cassie to be shopping with a toddler...oh how much more interesting your life gets when you add an independant somewhat demanding 18 month old little boy but she was a trooper and that day Ryan had a good time cuz he got a Yummy Corn Dog from Hot Dog on a Stick (clever name i wonder how long those corprate guys stewed over that one) but he loved it and with a kids meal you get a fantastic hat! But nonetheless it just proves how there is someone watching out for everyone! Jeff and i were moving to a new area and so was she so he knew we would need a friend! Arent we lucky!!!!! P.S. Jeff stole Ryans little Hat and decided he wanted to be the new sponsor for Hot Dog on a Stick!

Well, we went to Idaho for my brand spankin new nieces blessing her name is Maren Kay Ferguson daughter to Adam and Laura Ferguson! She is so dang cute I just love her to pieces! Grandma and Grandpa Ferguson was there, Aunt rebekah and Uncle Josh with the kids came and it was just a ton of fun! along with the people who could make it were Lauras family as well. The blessing was Beautiful and it seems i cant get through a single blessing when one of my big brothers are giving it. Im so proud of my brothers and all their accomplishments in life. How they take care of their family's and continue to be good examples to me through my life! Im so blessed to have 4 strong preisthood holding brothers and grateful for their wives as well. LOVE YA!

Life at home!

We moved into a little apartment in Layton which we will soon be moving out of to move on base! We are so excited it's a duplex but it has a fenced yard so i dont care RYan can play outside! Jeff Is liking his job and loving the people he works with. Military life isnt as bad as i thought it would be and who knows maybe it will be forever and maybe it wont but all i know is there are some big things ahead for the Kartchner Clan and we couldnt be happier of where we are in life. We are blessed by so many and we are lucky to have amazing influences in our lives. Our family's have been so supportive and helpful through everything so Thank You to them and Thank you from the words of encouragement from our Friends. We love you all!!!!!!

While Jeff was gone to Texas Ryan and I decided to go home to Washington to see Grandma and Grandpa Ferguson we had so much fun! Ryan was able to visit long time friend and partner in crime Jaxel Kohn son to Kirsten and Johannas Kohn, Haylie Briggs daughter of Rob and Katherine Briggs, they all had a blast and i had fun seeing my friends again. Mom, Dad and i were able to celebrate my birthday By mom and i doing our infamis shop till you drop day and something new this year we ended up driving to Oregon i was a little bummed out about spending 6 hours in a car on my B day but all bummer thoughts left when mom made it pretty cool! She wrapped gifts and gave them to me along the way so it was actually very creative of her she even went as far as lighting a candle on a cookie in a moving vehicle (kids dont try it at home) he he he. THanks mom! But after we got home from Oregon we spent more time together and i eventually went back home to Utah to get ready for the big move!

VEGAS VACATION!

Well, after Jeff came home from Texas we decided we wanted to go to Vegas for a little R&R so we left Ryan with Grandma Kartchner and we took off for the weekend! We stayed at the luxor which by the way...Dont, but anyways... We met some nice people From SEATTLE and we actually ended up hanging out with them the whole time which was a ton of fun, so Eli and Marissa are our travel buddies! he he he, since we travel so much. ANYWAYS so we had a TON of fun and got a chance to visit with Uncle Ken and see pictures of his Christmas village and had fun talking politics. Vegas was fun but we were ready to come home and be a family again. Ryan missed his daddy a lot and was happy to have him home again!

The day started great! We found this awesome hair cutting place in Salt Lake that let the kids pick an awesome seat but since Ryan was under a certain age they used the toddler seat. Well, my child is on the BIG BOY side and he was kissin his knees! he he he, it was pretty funny but mom and dad were there for moral support so he did okay! I think he looks mighty dapper. :)
